You need to use javaloader. Here's a few links that may help:

If you figure it out please let us know. I have not been able to make this happen with My Vista PC, I had to use XP.

Getting a little further, I think, I got this, 3 different things...

1. Connectiong to device (ARM)
2. Connecting to boot ROM
3. Uploading RAM image

goes right back to saying, can not find software or to that effect

I have tried it for months with more than 4 or 5 different OS versions. No luck.

I'm running Vista as well. I've gotten the DM to connect to my 8310. I've taken pic files off of my BB and put them on my puter. I was however unable to get it to update to the new 4.5.108 package. I have another thread on this site where they are attempting to help me as well. Seems I may be a little farther than you though. I installed DM 4.2 sp2. It was working. When nothing worked to update BB, I uninstalled the DM and went with the v4.5. Wifey interupted download with dinner and I haven't got it done yet.

Might do a search for my postings and see if anything they have said to me will help you. This stuff is a little confusing, but not as confusing as programing Dave!! ;)

Hi...

Please check to see if you have the correct update located on your hard drive. If you notice on this screen shot, I have v4.5.0.81 for the 8310 plus the previous .55 load as well... This is where you will see your update files...

Once you run the setup on the OS update, it installs the updates here...

Finally!!!!!
I have tried everything I could read, and the only thing I think I did different was:
update the drivers through device manager, because the computer would never see the phone after I wiped it. After I updated through the internet, it could see the phone, and as soon as I opened BB Desk Manager, it prompted me to add what I want. I hope this helps!!!
