Default Auto-run on Startup not working

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I am just trying to add a menu item using the developer labs. I select options in project properties as:

CLDC Application
None(for ribbon)
System Module
Auto-run on Startup

Everything is great on simulator but on device Auto-run does not work. If a remove the checked option for System module, then I see an icon on the Homescreen of the device. When I click on this icon, then I see the menu item in mail application and everything works great. I am unable to understand why auto run is not working.

I have tried Hard reset and every kind of restart for the device.

I am using JDE 4.2, device is 7730.

Any help will be appreciated as I do not want any icon on the HomeScreen.

Thanks.

Maybe you need to sign the app?

The 'Auto-run on Startup' feature is may be not the one you was looking for.

On an older device I have the experience that it start you app on the "system start up" only, the one where the security verifycation take place (not the one you get after shut down the device through the 'Turn Power Off' icon). You achieve such a start if you shut down the device and take out the accumulator for some minutes, for example.

May be that can help.
