So, I have a Blackberry 8900 and am currently running: [BETA] v5.0.0.411.

Today I went out and bought a Micro SD 16GB and I'm having issues. I insert the card into my 8900 to add the Blackberry files (documents, music, videos, pictures, etc.) by default. But when I put the Micro SD in the adapter and plug it into my Mac (OS X 10.5) Nothing comes up. Can anyone help me with this? maybe it wont work because im running the BETA 5.0 or is the Micro SD not compatible with my 8900?

also, I was wondering if not, and lets say for example BB 8900's only accept up to for example 4GB. What if i were to partition the Micro SD and have it up to the amount of space, that is compatible with my phone (i.e. parition the Micro SD until "4 GB" of free space is left) .. thats jsut a theory im wondering might work if my 16 GB is not compatible.

Im not sure if I was clear enough on that, If anyone needs more info or maybe I should rephrase my problem, let me know.

A 16 GB SD should work fine. Have you tried to plug it into a PC and see if it is recognized?

Are you sure the card is in the adapter properly?

Does the Mac recognize other SD cards? Mine will see an 8 GB, haven't tried a 16 GB. I know PCs running XP need a patch. Not sure about the Mac however.

I have a MacBook Pro (OS X 10.) My computer recognizes the Micro SD.

The adapter is properly plugged in.

I have a 2 GB Micro SD (thats why I upgraded in the first place lol.) It recognizes it just fine & thumb drives.

{update: I found a link saying it does use 16GB. Some users are claiming to have then in there devices and work. Im wondering if its because if have the OS BETA 5.0. Im gonna jump back to 4.6 n hope that solves the problem.}

Sounds to me like it's not in Mass Storage Mode. I am specifically doing the EXACT same thing. 8900. 5.0.0.411. 16 GB.
