Wait....the threaded SMS icon? Do you have a 3rd party app for threaded SMS or do you have Email and SMS Inboxes set to separate (under Messages -> Options -> Inbox Settings)?

Sorry, i meant i have them seperate. its a phone with a little chat bubble to the right of it. the threaded SMS is working fine now. the only issue i am having is slowness with enterprise email. the rest of the phone is faster then the old 4.7 but anytime i enter into enterprise email there is a lag of about 3-4seconds. Could this be because I am on a leaked version?

I suppose it could be....perhaps due to IT Policies or something. Did anything else change since you upgraded? Any adding or removing programs?

Nothing added or removed. my BB is pretty stock since i use it mainly for work. Only things added is app world, upgraded to new BBM, etc. Just standard BB items. No 3rd party apps at all. Im guessing IT doesnt have this software version on BES? I have an email into my IT team as well. I was just seeing if anyone had any ideas or had experienced this.

Could be that they don't have it on the BES, but it's not needed on the BES for your BB to work (I have zero OS's installed on my BES).

What if you remove AppWorld and do a battery pull - any change?

I just did and it seems to be a touch faster. I have asked my IT team to add this software to our system. I guess it goes by phone type not overall version number.

My IT team is now adding this however i am seeing my battery life drop tremedously. I wonder if this is due to the fact the phone is working a bit of overtime due to the software not handlling the BES well.

after a few days worth of playing i've noticed that phone calls do eat a lot o battery.
with media player if i recieve a call/message/anything with sound it will STOP completely. but i think this was an issue in earlier builds. but this one seems to be a little more unpredictable than 4.7 i had.

feels faster than 4.7 and i am enjoying the "today" theme.

I will also check with my IT to see if there are any settings to be updated on the BES

Haven't tried that. Thanks for the suggestion. I may have to reload it. The SMSs are messed up a bit. I saw another post somewhere where another person had this problem. It is combining multiple messages into the oldest one. So it says that I sent things to people I didn't. That can make a guy nervous at first. I believe if I reload the OS and when I restore I don't add in any SMSs I may not have this problem anymore.

I did finally get it to load using BBSAK, shutting off the internet, and disabling software updates. This was after a wipe didn't work and I had to reload 4.7.

I did the same thing as post #96 and left the vendor xml in place and that is the only way I could get 5.0os to load also, I thought it was just me. My next question was is this a Sprint leadked os? Or are the leaks not vender specific?

I have had this off and on. It doesn't seem to be all the time though.

I have also had several other problems. When I first loaded it all of my saved SMS messages were combined into one message showing it was from one person. I could not delete that message. So I wiped the phone again, did a clean install, and didn't load any SMS messages on the reload. I tried a few text messages, and no problems so far. Something happened and I did a battery pull, quick pull (free) doesn't work in 5.0 it seems, and it again combined the messages into one SMS. No sometimes I get a SMS and it says it is from someone other than it is. That can be a problem!

I have also had several phone calls where the phone never rings and no missed call shows up. I just get a voicemail. I know that sounds more like a network issue, but I never had that problem at home before. I have now missed at least 3 calls in the last two days.

There are many features I like, but these are just too major and frustrating for me. I am ready to wipe it and go back to 4.7.

I had to wipe and start over from 4.7, then upgrade to .419 as peculiar things occurred, ie unable to make a phone call. What good is a phone that can't call out? Once I degraded to 4.7, I tested everything, then I upgraded, and it has been fine ever since.
Even battery life has been fantastic. I had to charge it once yesterday(Tuesday) since I took it off of charge on Friday night.

I am still having the problem where it puts all of my SMSs into one folder so that it looks like it is from someone other than who sent it. Is there a setting I am missing to seperate messages from people into their own thread or folder?

HELP! i have a tour 9630 and it does not have the option to organize SMS messages in "conversation". I have "flashed" it with JM Cmder and wiped it clean. I have installed the newest OS available through Desktop Manager. I even tried downgrading the OS. Nothing will work to provide me with the option to organize SMS as a conversation (i.e. threaded). HELP!

Thanks!!!

for those on sprint, are you still having issues with the version posted on sprints website? 5.0.0.484? I saw some issues and people going back to .419 but it would appear that the official release .484 is holding up well.
