I resent my service books and I think it improved my browser. My frustration now is that App World is now unusuable. Being able to download an OTA file is hit or miss. I had to redownload twitter for blackberry through my app loader but am stuck with .48. I see there's only OTA options for this item. My hope is the next build is more compatible with the .jad files

Why not save the OTA jad file to SD card and install from there? That's worked every time so far.

My Social Feeds app is still acting up... FaceBook notifications have stopped coming from the FB app, so I don't know when people comment on my stuff.

Plus twitter keeps going down for me.. of course that might be twitter.

Might have to turn off all the integration.

Its even easier than that (that is if you were talking about using "explore" and finding and installing the jad). You just choose to save file, a progress dialog shows up and finishes - then you can just hit the application menu and choose install.

I found that issue too. I unchecked facebook integration. All it was doing was telling me I had new FB feeds, and stopped telling me about new messages.

So Im replying to my own post again. I was frustrated with the FB not working, so I did a backup and did a device wipe with BBSAK. I loaded the .222/.246 hybrid. FB and Rims Twitter are working fine now and Im getting notifications properly. I did go into social feeds and ONLY setup my rss feeds. All seems to be working well again. I did restore my backup file, but only used select options. I'm beginning to wonder if the OS5 upgrade brought over some things that dont necessarily get along with OS6? This is all speculation but wanted to post that a wipe and clean install fixed my FB and Twitter notification issues.

Ours always has asked if we wanted to download the file. I click yes. After download it is there to click and install. I don't have the device here right now to see the exact screens but it sums it up. Sorry it doesn't work for you.

I installed that right through appworld.

But for example, BBM doesnt install OTA if I go to http://blackberry.com/messenger - but it will work if I choose to save jad file.

So to do local OTA, save it, wait till it says complete on the download progress screen, then hit BB menu and choose Open. It will allow you to OTA locally off the .jad.

The saved jad file opens the page from media card but give me a "download failed" response immediately

AK, can you send me the link to the OTA app? I cant recall if you said you were on .222 or the hybrid, but Id like to try on mine (which is .222/.246) and report back to you.

Just reading some of the problems others are having. My Facebook app is working fine, and I'm getting updates when people comment/post. I don't use social feeds, so I don't know how that'd work for me.
App World runs, but I have not downloaded anything from it yet.
Twitter for BlackBerry works like it should. Allows me to post, spell check (was having problems with this earlier), and it refreshes in the background.

When installing this leak I did not wipe, I just installed it, removed the vendor.xml and loaded it up.

Still having trouble with OTA, but in order to reinstall Twitter I deleted it, and then installed it using the DM.

If you are unable to do that in .222, the .222/.246 hybrid resolves that issue.

I guess I've been really lucky up until now...Facebook and Twiter have worked fine, I can download from app world and have things run with no problem, no issues with radio reception or fluctuating signal strength, BBM restored without issues...

One issue I've discovered this morning: under contact profiles, when you select a ring tone for the phone for that person the "Try it now" button plays the tone so you can preview it. If you select a specific ring tone for messages from that person, however, the "try it now" button does NOT work.

I'm still very happy with this OS.

APP World is working sporadically for me now. I reinstalled Twitter For Blackberry because other version would not update

APP world is sporadic for me as well. I have been able to d/l and install 2 apps, otherwise it either shuts down, or won't log me in.
