Bold Release Party NYC 10/16
Please Login to Remove!
I'm going to the BB Bold launch party on the 16th at Gotham Hall. Was invited by my company's AT&T rep. Wish I could bring a guest as my wife is pissed that I couldn't get her an invite (her company uses 3 times as many devices as mine).
Will let you know about it and release/ availability dates after attending.

"Same as 8800 plus 3G..."...??? Do you even have a Bold in your hands? if you did, I don't think you would be making that comment. The Bold is head over heals better then the 8800.....rip-roaring fast processor, an absolutely beautiful and large wide-screen display, better typing, faster WiFi, better storage capacity, and numerous other enhancements, etc. Plus the 3G aspect....as you so eloquently stated already. Yes, the Touch BlackBerry is intriguing and looks sexy, but how long before hardcore business BlackBerry users get pretty well fed-up with a quirky touch-screen KB that is probably a few SW updates away from being as good as the iPhone, never mind will never be better then typing on the Bold.
Bold does NOT = 8800 plus 3G.....as I am sure many of my fellow Bold users will attest to.
Cheers.

Hey, what's everybody wearing to this shindig? Will there be Baberanham Lincoln girls? You'd better look spiffy or else you may not get a free Bold!

ok so what gives? did this thing actually happen tonight? And if so, what actually happened? What's the point of a "launch party" without an actual launch?
perplexed.

It's the only way they can get the kiosk junkies who sell these things to show up at a training. And for Rim to give 2 drinks tickets to attend (a $8 value) it's worth it them to have a captive audience for a training, I mean "launch party"... used to go to these when I work for T-Mobile Govt Sales... customers never were into them, it was always the low-level IT nerds who'd go to say they went to something "exclusive" ... sad. I've lost all excitement for the Bold... we're the last country to get the bold... over it.

Get a life dude. It's the same form factor, less battery life, bigger unit, blah blah blah. It's not "cool" when every other country has it. Least the Verizon (Storm?) is "cool" looking... and is "cutting edge" .. bold is not cutting edge.

Wirelessly posted
Ok now I understand! This thread and the event itself were frauds, no more legitimate than the picture posted in the last reply.

Hopefully, this is going to be a less stressful event than the one held on Oct. 16th , where Invitees waited in line to get in . . .
