Default I need some help, here.....

Please Login to Remove!

So, I dropped my BB pearl 8100 into a whiskey sour last friday, and immediately took the battery out and dried the phone...well, the phone is fine.......except I cant use my 2,5,8, or 0 buttons, which are conveniently the entire middle row on the keypad, so I cant text or dial, and its getting to be really inconvenient. Ive tried taking the damn phone apart, but I dont have to correct screw driver for those annoyingly ****ing stupid t6 screws, so I cant really get inside the phone. Anyone know what exactly could be causing just those 4 keys to not work, other than the initial alcohol consumption issue? Help would be much appreciated.

The connection to those keys could have been destroyed, or maybe the sour mix has dried in there and left a film that has bored their connectivity. Complete disassembly and cleaning is your only option, short of just replacing the BB.

How long did you spend letting it dry. 3 or 4 days is usually needed.

Could just be gunk under the keyboard, try replacing it.

rambo47's suggestion is good, search for disassembly instructions.
