Did you try setting the buffersize to some large number .. What the bandwidth of the data you are receving..

NO - I haven't tried that, thanks.

I'm on EVDO (Verizon) and show 3 of 5 bars here at home. $5 player reports from 27 to 65 kbps.

I set the buffer to max (250) and it seems to be working now for the most part...the pauses are much fewer and more like a short hiccup where I'll miss a word or so, rather than a long pause that lasts long enough to miss more content. At 120 it was still halting, very similar to when it was at 60 (default).

Running it in the background is a very nice feature, but the streaming is very processor intensive, so the phone does become much less responsive than normal.

What is really required along w/the background capability is the ability to change volume (or at least mute) the sound.

Oh...I just tried my Moto BT stereo headset (Moto S705 - Motorola S705 SoundPilot Bluetooth Stereo Headset MOHFPS7051 at TigerDirect.com) and the Radio streams to it perfectly playing radio as far as I can tell. Very nice!

I've gotten a few breaks in the stream, but they are still much shorter than before.

Can't stream the audio from video (as w/the built-in player)... :(

Volume can be turned up and down using the side volume keys, using keys p and q and moving the trackball from left to right.
Did you tried the player instead of radio .. Is the player does play thro headset.

On background its not possible to control the application.. Volume keys and mute button everything works with the application that is on foreground.
So for changing the volume or mute it you need to launch the application ...

How do you find stations for the radio? I'm looking for smooth jazz and gospel.

Offer the Radio part as a separate program at a reduced cost...I'm not dying for a separate media player, but like the radio function on it's own.

There are lots of stations links available for use in
Dollars 5 Community :: View topic - Internet Radio stations for mediaPlayer/Radio

You can use shoutcast stations (or) di.fm for smooth jazz.

I can't get any of the station on your list to work. It does the processing thing then flashes a message too fast for me to read then connection closed. The only thing so far that has worked are the 2 included with the player: NPR and the dollar5 test. any ideas. This is on a blackberry pearl using Att carrier. Thanks

Can you tell me how you are configuring the stations and can you provide me a sample station that doesnt work for you. It seems that something goes wrong in station configuration.

Default How do I find my music?

I feel pretty dumb. Everyone else is having fun with this thing.

My music is on my SD card under Blackberry\music, organized by artist\album\song.

How do I get this media player to load all my songs and shuffle through them?
