Default RIM + Touchscreen = Fail

Please Login to Remove!

Touchscreen on any BlackBerry is almost wrong. After having tinkered with my Dad's Torch, and my brother's Bold 4, I see why Apple has one of the best touchscreens.

Example: I am on a call on the Torch. If I don't hold it away a substantial distance from my cheek, eventually, the mute button/speaker etc all get pressed.

Typing using the touchscreen on the Torch is almost a task.
So why is RIM still churning out touchscreens when apparently, the technology hasn't been perfected yet?

I'm with you there. I have no clue what apple does but its still the best.

I've tried out some android phones and its the same crap that goes on.

The only problem with the iphone is the price.

I don't think the touchscreen is the issue here. The mute button issue seems more like a problem with the proximity sensor.

As for the keyboard, that's an OS thing. iOS devices do have nice, easy-to-use keyboards, but then again, so do most Android devices as well.

The touchscreen on BB devices is responsive and works well, IMO. The true test will be when BB10 devices are released.

I tried everything.. but I really can't seem to get my head around RIM and Touchscreen. Maybe I'm just really Apple biased (Bet you wouldn't hear me say this like 2 years ago!)

I must say that the newer touchscreens are much better than the one on my 9520. That was a total joke and a waste of $600.
