Default VLINGO Feedback Needed

Please Login to Remove!

I was wondering if anyone who has downloaded Vlingo can give me some feedback on the app and if it is working well on the Storm?

Default 'Open Calendar' command doesn't work

I installed vlingo for the first time yesterday. I got my Storm late last week, and I didn't use it on my previous phone, an 8703e.

I haven't used it much yet but so far it seems great. The one thing I've found so far that doesn't seem to work is the 'Open Calendar' command. One other minor note, it installed in 'Compatibility' mode, and I had to go in and disable that.

I tried Vlingo a few weeks ago and messed with it for about an hour. The voice recognition was terrible and would often incorporate peoples names from my address book for no reason on earth. I uninstalled since life is too short to mess with bug filled apps.

Who knows, maybe Vlingo and the 8100 do not get along well.

However, I might give an updated version a shot several months from now.

Good people, vlingo is going to become THE KILLER APP for the Storm. The 4.6 vlingo is not without problems on a 4.7.0.75 Storm. So what ? RIM / Verizon are going to make this TOTALLY AWESOME. Its just that they didn't quite get it done for Christmas!

I'm hoping that ultimately we won't have to blow a whole key for vlingo, but I'm not
holding my breathe.

As I have been bragging, I have been able to edit an EXISTING text file using the Storm's copy and paste operations between MemoPad and vlingo. How cool is that ?!?

Wirelessly posted

I have the app running for a while now. I like it very much. I have used it often especially when I am driving. As far as recognizing my contacts goes, it does a good job. My only suggestion is the accuracy, I sometimes have a very hard time getting it to type even basic words. I wish it has a training feature.

So I've read all about this program, and went to download it last night off of their website, but I don't see a version listed for the Storm, and it clearly states no version is available, so which did you use?

Vlingo is a great app. much more accurate than the built in voice dial and i use the web searh all the time.
seems to be working on storm so far. Im sure it will set up easier with a 4.7 version.

The 4.6 88xx version works on the Storm, but you need to make sure that you allow all application permissions, otherwise you will get the dreaded "cannot record" error.

I like Vlingo a LOT, but you have to speak CLEARLY and ENUNCIATE properly, otherwise, you will get mixed results.

I just wish it would work with BB Messenger.
