Recently went live with our BES 5.0 server, migrating all existing users over from 4.1.6 with no problems. Setup the IT policy as it was setup on the old server. Attempting to push an application we used to be able to push on the old server. I'm reporting an error however, in the Application Event log of the server.

Currently I am using the default application control policies and application control policies for unlisted applications.

"{xxx@xxxxx.com, PIN=XXXXXXX, UserId=x}RequestHandler::HandleAPPDDataCommand - Send Application to device failed "Device reported a Security Violation while installing the application".

I'm assuming it has something to do with those application control policies but I can't seem to understand which setting is giving me grief. Or possibly the IT policy, but it was setup as per our old server.

Hey all, hate to bring back up a neglected post but I actually have this issue too with one paticular user so I didnt see the need to start a new post.
anyway, i have serveral apps that i have no problem pushing out to my blackberry users regardless of device os. however i do have one user in paticular that im getting that above eventlog entry and of course he doesnt get the app(s).
the ONLY difference between his device and the rest of them is that hes on the verizon network while all others are on at&t. i even upgraded his device os to the lastest and re EA him. hes got no issues as far as handheld functionality its just i cant publish any apps to him.
anyone else seen this? Is this just a verizon issue? how to prove/disprove that? what else to look for?

Hey there. In my case I was attemping to deploy the OCS Client from Blackberry. I had opened a case, and eventually they got back to me. I downloaded it client again, this time a different version. I've yet to see the problem re-appear.

yea, in my case it doesnt matter which app i am pushing. i have several. for example google maps, ap news, and bloomberg mobile all push down fine without a problem for all my att users (have 300+) regardless of model and os but have this one verizon 8830 with the latest os and re EA him. no issues at all with handheld functionality but am getting the above event entry when i assign software to him. only him.
