Everytime i try to add a game or theme to my 7290 using application loader i get the message

No additional application designed for our device were found.

However i know that they should work beacuse it says on websites and other have managed to do it

Please help

Did you try to load a theme for the correct OS? because if you download a theme for the same model blackberry, but with a different OS you will get this error message....
did you try loading already an other theme?

I can't vouch for crag09's setup but I'm having the exact same problem. I'm using REV 4.2 on my Desktop Software, as supplied by AT&T, and my 8300 is using REV 4.2. I've tried to load applications to my 8300 using both my laptop and one of my desktops. I get the same error message that crag09 get's.
I've tried diffrent applications, mostly from Handango but 1 from an alternant site. All give the same error.

I have been able to download app's OTA with no problem but not all app's have this option.

Very frustrating.

There are two pieces of software you need on the PC - Desktop Manager AND the Handheld OS.

Desktop Manager v4.2 is fine.
Locate and download the Handheld OS for the 8300.
Install the Handheld OS onto your desktop
Locate and delete VENDOR.XML on your desktop
Restart Desktop Manager

It really does work.

Ditto NJ ^^. I get the feeling from miteymitey and others I have noticed confused on here, that they think the version number of the handheld OS must match the Desktop Manager version. That is NOT the case.

Well, I've updated both the Desktop Mgr and the Device OS.
Current versions are:
Desktop Mgr 4.2.2.14
Device OS 4.2.2.166

No luck. Still getting same error message.

Deleted "vendor.xml".

This was all done on my laptop.

I'm sure there's a way to make it work. Like I said, very frustrating.
