I have similar problem with my email, i am using my gmail account from Google via the BB BIS service, but i seem to get usual junk mail about xxxxxx and loans every minute or two on my BB now.

Any chance they can be stopped but of course without stopping my wanted emails?

Gmail, IMO, has a great spam filter. If you get a SPAM email, don't delete it right away. Go on your PC, when you have the time, and open the SPAM email/s and there's an option to REPORT SPAM on GMail. It works great!

Whatever is put in your Spam Folder, does not get forwarded/pushed to your Blackberry...at least in my experience!

Yes indeed 100s are being stopped by gmails spam filter, its the odd ones that dont that hurt :P

Dont mind so much on pc as i delete them asap, but being at work with BB bleeping to tell me i can get pills etc cheap could get annoying, :-/ But ofc thats nothing to do with BB, just spam and email i suppose

you can make gmail filters for email..... so they don't even show up in the inbox. I have that for re-occuring emails... instead of archiving set it to delete.

The @blackberry.net addy have been the focus of increased spam for quite some time now... There are several threads on this and what actions you can take to correct it... The easiest suggestion is, if you do not use it, delete the @blackberry.net account...

Follow up on the "xxxxx.blackberry.net" address....

Someone mentioned deleting it. I have the option to do so when I log into the TMO website. Is it easy to add it back in later? Or, is there any way to disable the send/receive for this address only?

I get NO spam on GMail. Gmail has filters you can setup but the only one I have is the one to prevent sent mails from bouncing back to my inbox. You can set filters for your addresses setup in BIS as well. Just go to the BIS website for your carrier.
