How many applications do you have loaded? Are there any that you don't use? You can delete un-used applications to free memory.

Try doing a batter pull and then checking it again. Also always remember to close program using Menu>End (or close) just hitting the Red end key placed it in the background where it will continue to eat memory. To view background programs type Alt+Esc (if there are more than 5 running you have stuff in the background.

Start with pulling the Battery and then check the memory. I am sure it will be much higher. Alt (is the key in the lower left of the keyboard labeled "Alt" and Esc (Escape) is located just to the right of the trackball.

Press Alt and while holding it press Esc.

The alt key is not labled "alt" on my Pearl. It's the up/down arrow key, bottom left.

chell, Yes there is a lot to learn about a BlackBerry, and one has to be willing to keep an open mind to learn new terminology to be able to use it well. You can too, if you want.

I would suggest you go to the link in my signature to Stinsonddog's Tips and down the PDF file for the 8100, and read that WHILE using and looking at your BlackBerry. You will learn a lot that way, and be much more knowledgeable about the device you have in your hands.

For instance, you will learn which are the ALT and ESCAPE keys, and what their uses are.

Good luck. YOU will overcome the BB!! lol

It's a myth...I saw that post. It was a joke. No pearls have stereo bluetooth yet.
