No problem at all. And to be fair, the context of that does count for a small part. It has nothing to do with being in a clique. If you like it here, stay, if you dont, leave. I really dont see why its that complicated, and I also am unsure if its possible to explain it any clearer than that. This is not the only BB Forum on the net. Many consider it the best, many do not like it. We have over 200,000 members, and close to one million posts. There is no need to whine about things in the forum.

Gee I see all the mods and most of the day to day people welcome every new member. The only ones I see get ripped are the trolls who came here looking for that anyway.

OK guys and gals, here it is.........I love BBF, always have. It is by far the most informative BB forum on the www. Pinstack can't even come close even though they try really hard. BUT, when I read a post like the one that started this whole thing I tend to agree. Many here, not all but many can be very techno-elitist (made that up), condescending and sarcastic. Sometimes it seems like there are those here that only answer the questions of new members in order to show how much they know and how little the new memeber knows. I could be wrong but that's what it seems like. Just the opinion of a troll...............later brothas and sistas!!

PS to Dawg, I have 2 little girls and they don't cry anything like that, they sound more like a Georgia fan after Auburn or Florida kicks the dawgs sorry rear ends;) Peace out.

Well since the thread you started at http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...er-morals.html involved some comments that I posted about using someone else's WiFi, I feel that i should chime in also.

I was just warning the person that using another person's WiFi is a felony at the federal and state level in almost every state and as was pointed out later, if the neighbor continued to leave their AP open and someone stands outside and surfs for kiddie porn, hacks another network, etc then that person who owns the WiFi is legally responsible. I'm sure you wouldn't be crazy if the feds came to your door and your face gets plastered all over the media for a crime that you didn't commit.

Am I moral and have ethics? Your damn right I am and I pound ethics into every company I've worked for as well as raising my kids to have the same ethics.

I've a member of many forums and this one is one that really more of a 200k + extended member family. I've met a LOT of GREAT people here that I continue to talk with outside of the forums and I'm sure will remain lifelong friends. If you have a issue with someone, take it up with them in PM instead of on the public section where chances are, it's just going to turn into a flame fest where nobody wins.

no one is trying to show off how much they know. someone asks a question people answer sometimes with more info than necessary. I don't think it is to show their BB superiority or to make anyone feel less intelligent.

Cliques? I can see how that can be perceived does one really exist.....I don't think so. Its not like all of us PM each other and say "hey look at this post lets jump this poster"

using nothers wifi that you are not paying for is theft. That's like ooo neighbor just filled gas tank Ill go take a gallon to put in my car. No biggie right it is theft!!!

Find a BB and don't even take reasonable steps to locate its owner you might as have stolen. hey if you take the steps and still can't get it to the owner and have exhausted all avenues available to you hey keep it. MAKE AN HONEST ATTEMPT

Free themes? there are plenty available if the one you like is one you have to pay for hey the creator is entitled to charge, not really that expensive are they?

we all have opinions just like in the real life outside of the forums. sometimes those opinions are strong and many share the same view so it seems that a poster may be getting ganged up on. The Biggest difference between this BB forums and some of the others Most here are professional and grown up. many of the other forums are littered with a younger membership and thus there opinions, morals and ethics are different than here and typically they are more understanding of "Ifound a BB" it is mine!! attitude.

He was not banned because he found a device, it was his mind set that he can come here, asking for help, then when suggestions were made on what was the right thing to do, he spit in the members face. That crap can be taken elsewhere. If you find a berry, good for you. You even have the ability to keep it if you want to. Should you make an effort to return it? Absolutely. Even if you don't being an ass to those that suggest you do is uncalled for. Flame me all you want for that, or for telling everyone what they already know. Don't like it here? Leave, no one forces you to be here. If you love BBF like you say, then obviously the perceived good outweighs the perceived bad.

Besides, there is no God-given right to get answers in this forum. It is an online community in which users who wish to answer a question may do just that.

Just like in the real world, on the street, if I saw some idiot standing on the street corner asking how to get this "found" BlackBerry to work, I could
a) ignore him and walk on,
b) offer my advice that he at least attempt to find the owner,
c) stand there and berate him for 10 minutes on what an idiot he is.
d) confer with him on how to make it work.

We have choices here just as in any circumstance. If a user in the forum acts like an idiot, users here may choose to treat he or she as such. If an individual stands on street corner and acts like an idiot, he may receive the same treatment as here.

Not at anyones throat at all. The only reason I was upset was the user that "found" the berry. Past that just posting the obvious. This is not anywhere close to the only BB forum on the web. There are ones at BlackBerry, Pinstack.com- BlackBerry forums - Support discussions, BlackBerry themes, Blackberry software., and CrackBerry.com â€“ The #1 Site for BlackBerry Users & Abusers. While we are considered by many to be the best, it is as subjective as anything else.
