Please Login to Remove!

I saw the same thing up until last week. I have a gmail, google hosted domain, and a Godaddy account on VZW's BIS. I removed them from the BIS, cleaned out all the old emails (especially the inbox on Godaddy) and re-added them to the BIS. Things are good again (within 45 seconds average). I think its all about recent blackberry growth causing RIM's infrastructure some strain. Lets hope the upcoming scheduled outage for database upgrades resolves these delays.

I actually noticed a delay of 10 minutes today for a few messages with gmail (roughly). Usually receive the messages within 10 seconds depending on signal strength.

No delays here with gmail. I sent one to myself from another email account and it arrived on the BB within 15 seconds.

Hmm that's such a bust a lot of important stuff comes in on my gmail. Did you ever find a possible solution or cause?
Since I bought my Curve in November, my Gmail is anywhere between instant and 15 minutes. No rhyme or reason to when it'll take longer, but normally it's extremely fast.

One thing that may be more reliable is running the Gmail mail application on your phone. It shows an envelope icon when email comes in. I've never watched to see if that's faster, but it might be worth trying.

FWIW...and I think someone said this earlier: if the vast majority of people are testing and finding the transfer to be almost instantaneous, it just might be something in your setup or in your execution, and not a gmail/RIM issue.

There is nothing to do in "setup or execution" on BIS. You set it up and it goes. Unless you do forwarding, etc. there's not much one can do. I do get my GMail instantly sometimes. Other times it's delayed. Not a show-stopper but it used to be instant all the time. The only other possibility is network connectivity between the BB and the network.
