I've got a BB from October or November 2007 and it works with 4.5. I would guess it was made in August or September 2007.

The text messaging is starting to lag a little bit. I dont know about anyone else but im very fast with text messaging. The previous OS never lagged regardless of how fast i typed. Maybe its still getting used to itself? when i first installed the OS nothing lagged at all. My file free is high (15791103 bytes) so i dont think thats the problem. Anyone else have this problem?

IMO, I would install DM without the media manager, it's slow, it sucks and it's a waste of space and time to DL.

Move it to the card like if the BB was a USB drive? That's how I do it. The Media Manager has been nothing but crap to me.

either use the Mass Storage Mode (as mentioned) or get a media card reader.

i only use the card reader when i swap out more than two or three CD's worth of .mp3 files, otherwise the slow MSM USB-transfer speed isn't such a big deal. for my daily podcast refresh i use the MediaSynch (better all the time!) and can "deal with" the slow transfer in exchange for the admirable playlist control.

i think i've spoken about my card reader around here before, but just about any of the SanDisk ImageMate devices are rock solid. i haven't used the USB-style adapters (often packaged with the microSD), but can't imagine they'd suck. just make sure it's USB 2.0 and you'll be pleased.

as mentioned above, avoid the BB DM with Roxio Media Manager. there are easier ways to move your raw .mp3 files and video can be formatted using other apps, then moved to the card just like an .mp3 file.

I've installed this OS over the official T-mobile version, and it does seem a lot faster. But now I've got a few new icons that I don't know how to get rid of. Any ideas? The icons are:

Customer Center Online
Customer Manager
MyMonternet
Service Hotline
Settings
XinJi Service Guide

Any idea how to remove these?

I think that if you download an OS for your BB from another carrier you can delete the vendor.xml and use the loader to update you BB

Thanks

I have installed in my unlocked T-Mobile 8320.

Delete the vendor.xml and use the loader
