Default AVOID ROXI garbage software

Please Login to Remove!

DO NOT INSTALL Roxio Media Manager - It is trash software - will not completely install and can not be removed - my only solution - BUY an HTC and reformat my laptop - ABSOLUTLEY NO SUPPORT FROM BLACKBERRY !!!!!! I have wasted days trying to fix this

AVOID BLACKBERRY AT ALL COST - it really costs a lot in the end !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't love Roxio but I've never had problems with it. Worked fine for me when I needed to convert some videos.

I'm guessing PEBCAK in this case.

Solutions to this problem have been discussed before. It takes "Windows Install Clean Up" to kill it. Then the install can be tried again or not.

Also, you can use a BlackBerry without Roxio Media Manager. Anyone reading this, please disregard the OP's rant.

I don't get it.
you bought a cell phone.

Your saying that the free media program is junk and only way to fix that is to buy a htc which comes with no software.

Just wow.....

But I still don't get it...

Similar to Daphne I am not a fan of the software but I've never had problems with it. I've only used it to transfer movies to my BB in the correct format.

Only thing I recommend with the Roxio software is delete any other Roxio software prior to installing the Roxio Software built in to the Desktop, and disable folder monitoring after the install. Folder Monitoring has been cause a slowness in computers after the install.
(You are prompted to turn on/off the feature the first time you launch it)

In the options of Roxio software turn off folder monitoring.

That might help.

Good you found one. Roxio is a terrible program on the older computers I have. I honestly think they shouldn't even include Roxio with their software and should just recommend third party software.

One easy to use converter is part of Real Player SP. It'll convert to several different types of portable devices including iphones, PSP's, and Blackberries. I like it because it is easier to use than other converters and has a better interface. It doesn't have as many options as most stand alone converters have, but I've never had an issue with the files I've used it for.
