I don't think it's possible with a BB, not sure though.

Check this out, great and free... YouMail Sign In

Try this:

Open your phone screen > press menu (button left of track ball) > options > call logging > Choose "none"

That will prevent your missed calls from showing up in the messages list. As for Voice Mail, when you get the on screen prompt saying that you have a voicemail, hit OK, NOT Save. If you hit SAVE it will add a notification to your SMS inbox saying you have a Voice Mail, if you hit ok, it won't, but will still leave the small icon on the top of the screen. Neither choice will mess with the actual voice mail, and you don't have to worry about accidentally deleting them.

I just phoned US Cellular tech support and they said the Blackberry has NO WAY TO TURN OFF SMS NOTIFICATION OF VOICE MAIL.

Haha...it's been so long since I've used T-Mobile's VM service and been using YouMail that I forgot there was an SMS when receiving a VM.

I am on TMO and I do not get a text message when I get a voice mail. I used to I think a long time ago when I first started with them but haven't for at least several years. I use a BB Curve. (And I just tested to be sure....no text.) I didn't set anything up on the Curve to turn it off, it was that way with previous phones as well.

Maybe it depends upon your market for TMO? I'm in the San Antonio Market.

(By the way, I do get a text message for voice mail on my work BB which is a Sprint 8830 but I also used to get the text message on my LG phone pre-BB.)

Well, here is the way I did it for Sprint.

Went into Options | Security | Firewall.
Enable Firewall, and block ALL SMS Messages.

Go to bottom, and select allow SMS Messages from people in address book.

Wala! Worked for me.
Keep in mind though, this will block sms' from people not in your address book. Personally, if I dont know them, I dont care about their message, but make sure you add someone. The only time I found this to be an issue, was went you send a SMS message to yourself for banking PINS, or program downloads that send a SMS message. But, for that instance, I momentarily turn off the firewall.

Well, it does work for me. Does create some hassle with other SMS's, but hardly ever.
