Unhappy Formatting Media Card Issue. Help ya?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi. I have a Blackberry Curve 8300 and a 4GB microSDHC card. I inserted the media card and then tried to format it so I could start to put music, etc. on my Blackberry. However, my phone seems to be frozen after I clicked FORMAT CARD or whatever..and it has been for quite some time now. I don't know whether it's still formatting or if my phone is broken, etc. I don't know? I'm new to the whole Blackberry thing so if someone could help me and tell me what to do that'd be really nice..

Did you try battery pull? It usually solves a lot of issues.

Are you running the latest OS for your phone? If not, that could be the problem, however, I doubt you're running 4.2

Otherwise, could it be a bad card?

Trying to format the card using your PC is a good idea.

It could be a bad card. Maybe you can return or exchange it.

Did you format the Card from your BlackBerry? Also head to options -> about which version of the OS does it say you are running.. Sometimes there was an issue formatting a Media Card from inside the BlackBerry.

How long have you had this card? It is rare but it could be a bad card like a few of the above posters have mentioned.
