Default Unable to play some MP3 files

Please Login to Remove!

It reports format as unsupported. Is there a limit on bitrate?

i noticed that some openmg files will not play.

now that im totally annoyed with my self for not realizeing that i used the sonic stage to upload all of my cds and now they are all openmg, so now i can not transfer them to the microsd card and have them work with the player on the bb. now i have to re do all of it. it took forever i tell you and i had to hand type all of the names of the songs again.

whats even more annoying and not even related to this the media that i do have on my puter that was not from cds, when i import it to the sonic stage to transfer to my mp3player it all comes up unknown so now i have to redo all of that too. (ahhhhhhhhhh)

yah im easily annoyed

4gb microsd formatted in BB.

These are 320kbps MP3 files. Not sure if all 320kbps can't play though. Don't have any others to test.

Hello. I have noticed the same problem with certain .mp3 files and I can not seem to figure this one out. I get a lot of my music by ripping a stream to my computer (mac) using a ripper and then just transfer the files to my Curve 8310. I will find that with certain songs (no pattern) I will also get the "unsupported media" error in the BB Media Player. The interesting thing is that these same files will play in iTunes and also my iPod.

I have been trying to transition from my iPod to only the Curve since it is so much more convenient to carry only one device... but in my opinion the media player from Blackberry looks great but is immature in functionality and efficiency.

I'm seeing this issue as well, but even more odd is that if I select P (for Previous Track), most of the time it will then play it. If I get the error again, but keep going back (previous), it does eventually play the song. I wish I understood the issue.

Interesting, I have an MP3 that doesn't play from an album from which all the other songs play successfully. Maddeningly, the MP3 that doesn't play on the curve DOES play on the PC in WMP11. Go figure.
