Like I mentioned above, I traced my problems to memory issues, and all has been working except for the phone needing a occasional soft restart to clear its digestive track.

hope this helps. Is there any other way to make them work?

I have a Curve (8320) with v.2.2.180 (Platform 2.50.36). I have the Freedom GPS 2000 keychain and have problems staying connected. I have to do a hard reboot on the BB to get everything working again and it doesn't usually stay connected more then 15-20 minutes. I can't get it to even find my headset!

Ellvira, I gave you the fix in the other thread you posted in. Upgrade your OS to 4.5 as is also suggested here.

I had my Pearl working fine as a tethered modem via BT (from XP Pro w/sp2) when I was using OS 4.3 and DM 4.3. Now I've upgraded to OS 4.5 and DM 4.6 and I can't get the BT connection to work. If I look on my BB and go into Manage Connections, there is a check mark next to Bluetooth On, but the indicator to the right is Yellow.

I successfully paired the Pearl to my laptop, but it won't maintain a connection. If I go into Bluetooth Setup (on my BB), it says Bluetooth: Enabled, and my laptop is in the list of devices. But, it's not bold, because my BB isn't connected to it. I tried deleting my laptop from the list on the BB and deleting the BB from the list on my laptop, and then re-adding/pairing them. I also did a battery pull and rebooted my laptop, too, then tried again.

My BT drivers in XP are the ones that got installed via Microsoft Update.

Any idea what I've got wrong?

For the record, it was all working fine, as I said, then I upgraded my BB OS and the DM. I don't believe I used the BT tethering for the week or two after that, then my laptop died and I had to re-install XP from scratch. So, now I'm trying to recreate my Dial-Up Networking setup for tethering via BT. I don't think the new install of XP matters, because I had noticed my BB BT connection to my laptop cycling between connected and not connected on a roughly 10 second interval even before my laptop died and had to be rebuilt.

Further info.

I go into my BB Manage Connections, and it shows a check mark next to Bluetooth On and a yellow icon.

I go into the BB Device Manager on my laptop. Under Bluetooth options, "Turn on Bluetooth support" is checked.

I click on Configure Bluetooth. I get a dialog box with a list labeled Bluetooth Devices, that is empty. I click on the Add button.

I get a new dialog that says "Add a a Bluetooth enabled device". It displays the moving flashlight thing while it searches.

While my laptop is searching, on my BB, the Bluetooth On line changes to "Connec..." and the icon next to it becomes green with a check mark.

Then the BB changes back to "On" with a yellow icon, and on my computer it says "Verify that the Bluetooth enabled device is configured for use with the BlackBerry Desktop Software. For more information, contact your administrator."

So, my PC is obviously able to connect to my BB. It seems like it is connecting to it, then querying it to see if can be used a modem (or whatever), getting an answer of No, and then disconnecting.

Is this possibly something to do with a policy on the BES that I recently subscribed to?

ps. On my BB, in Options/Bluetooth/Options, after the device name, it says:

Discoverable: Yes
Allow Outgoing Calls: Always
Address Book Transfer: All Entries
LED Connection Indicator: On
Security Level: High
Connect On Power Up: Yes
then the device address
Then, under Services, it lists 7 entries, all of which are checked.

I have also tried deleting all my Service Books and re-sending them. Still no change in behavior.

Default Bluetooth Connection Drops

I too am experiencing an issue with a Samsung WEP410 headset and a Blackberry 8700c no. The devices connect then drop or lose the connection with no apparent reason.

The screen will show "Waiting for Samsung WEP410" and deleting and adding the device back has made no difference. Any advice on this issue would be very appreciated as I am pulling my hair out!!
