Question Threaded SMS problem

Please Login to Remove!

here is my problem: if I receive an sms from someone, any other sms sent to me afterwards will appear as if they were sent from the 1st person. i.e. the contact number or name of the others will not show.

thus if I also compose an sms, it will show the contact number of the 1st sms received. I can only send to another contact if I delete that 1st sms received and then compose a new one, after which the newly selected contact will show.

I hope I was able to paint a clear picture. has anyone had a similar experience? is there any solution to it? I updated my OS to v5.0.0.425 2 days ago (device was wiped before installation)

thanks!

here is a clearer explanation of my problem, posted by someone over at Crackberry:

Since upgrading to 5.0.0.402 all my SMS appear under one thread, whether I am sending them or receiving them. I have tried everything I can think of to correct it, including upgrading to .425 today. I have wiped and reinstalled etc.

Has anyone any ideas? Can I copy over a .cod from .328 to make it work? Which files specifically have to be copied?

Thank you.
