the Tmo 9700 is 3.6 and the ATT 9700 is 7.2 there was even some ATT users in TX that did a speed test and were averaging in the 6's (some areas of TX have towers operating at 7.2)

I just upgraded from a t-mobile curve 8320 to a BB 9700 Bold..with a 5.0 OS. It works like a charm with the curve but not with the Bold. Any word yet of an upgrade for the firmware, or has anyone figured out how to get the Bold to work?

The current firmware of the Cradlepoint says it supports the 9000. For some reason, I got a 300 with French documentation. I haven't seen any info on how to connect a phone to the USB port and configure the router to activate the tethering. Have you got any info you can share on how to activate a BlackBerry tether with the router? The FAQs at Cradlepoint are useless.

I did not see the 9000 or 9700 listed under the supported devices section. Nice product so i'd like to see if they offer support.

The company says they don't support 5.0. The 3Gstore says they will have to start supporting this OS.

Any word yet of an upgrade for the firmware, or has anyone figured out how to get the Bold with this OS to work?

TMOBILE ONLY

I have been successful in getting the Cradlepoint PHS300 to work with the Blackberry 9700 on TMobile.

It is a bit tricky, but it does work.

You can connect from a computer to the PHS300 right after connecting it to the BB, but the BB may not connect for data until the following has been done:
  • upgrade PHS firmware
  • upgrade PHS modem driver
  • Possible BB upgrade if you are not on a 5.x release
  • Configure the PHS with your BB connect info, connection script, username, password, etc.

Get the firmware and modem firmware upgrades here:

PHS300 | Cradlepoint Technology

After the PHS has been upgraded you will then see the option to add this info in the "modem settings" section in the box labeled "AT".

In box labeled AT copy paste this:
AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","epc.tmobile.com"
ATDT*99***1#

in the apn setting box type:
epc.tmobile.com

Your username and password are your phone number and the password you use to connect to the TMobile website. This is required to get the PHS to connect to TMOB.

Hope this helps.

Pretty good. I will be trying it this weekend, if it works for me I will get a wi fi only IPAD, if not not. But I feel fairly confident it will work. Your instructions aere easy enough to understand. Othjer people have done it in other ways, but your solution is the simplest and easiest to follow.

Thanks
Ira
