I have seen many postings on this but not a solution (apolgies if i am wrong!). A couple of weeks ago i noticed that read emails on my BB Torch disappear from it (they can be seen only if i cnahge the viewed folder to Inbox). This was never the case before and means that the very useful blackberry feature of seeing all message traffic (received and sent) in one view has gone. I have pulled the battery to no effect. I have also gone through all the settings on the handheld (including memory available) and can see nothing that helps or seems relevant. Any input hugely appreciated. JJD

Are you on a BES? If so, are you using a PST in Outlook?

Hi sorry, yes BES. Not sure what you mean by "pst in outlook"? I use outlook and the emails which disappear from the BB remain it the inbox as seen by Outlook.

A PST is a local file on your computer in which your messages are stored. Some people use this in lieu of keeping their messages on the Exchange server. You will have to check your account settings in Outlook to see if this is the case for you. What I suspect is happening is that your messages are being removed from the server, which will remove them from your BlackBerry.

They're not being removed from the BB though. The OP can see them by changing a folder.... Hrmmmm

Are these messages being filed into subfolders of your inbox, by any chance?

Hi all - thanks for your time and input. To be clear - they are NOT being filed anywhere in my inbox nor are they disappearing from the server. If i open them on the BB they then disappear from the BB. They remain in the Inbox as seened by the BB and in the Inbox as seen by outlook.

This makes even less sense now... I'm pulling the yellow handles and getting out.

Ummm... So what you are saying is:

Emails stay in Outlook inbox at all times
Emails appear on BB in inbox folder
User reads email on BB and it "disappears"
If the user then specifically browses to and opens the "inbox" folder, they can see the messages again on BB?
