I have tested most of the tips sheet. Major revisions include section on BB Maps and Video. Also updated terminology and revised calendar shortcuts. Included a section on new OS features that you all submitted in the other sticky.

I am sure this has been asked and answered many many times and I am very sorry but I need to know... how do I stop my 8800 (just arrived today) from receiving emails?? I only need it to do this when I am out and about but I don't know how to stop it when I am sitting infront of my computer or having dinner?!?!

Hello

Excellent manual. I have two tips for ya

press and hold ALT key then CAP then H key. It will give you nice Engineering Screen Contents where you will find just about anything about 8800 inner-workings

other one is press and hold ALT and then press N M L L. Your Signal Bar will change from bars to numeric value. to change it back just repeat the procedure

thank you

Is there a shortcut to display the battery remaining as percentage, similar to the signal using ALT NMLL?

How can you page down in an email message? In my old 7280 I could hit the enter key and that would scroll down a whole page. Is there a similar command for the 8830?

For Stinsonddog: from what I have been able to find out, Telenav with traffic (5.1) is not yet available for the 8800. You state that it is; do you have a reference. Thanks

Default Signatures

Hi everyone,

New user here. I just got an 8830 and I'm not on BES. I can't figure out how to change my signature and I'm increasingly wondering if I can unless I get on a BES install. Is that true!?

Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure about Verizon but with Cingular you can just login to your BIS account, click on the email account and then click "edit" you can change your auto signature there.

Good Luck
