How can you tell a FAKE housing fascia from a GENUINE one ?
The front housing on my phone is in 2 parts but I have see some for sale that are in 1 part. Does anyone know if they are GENUINE Blackberry or FAKE ?

Pls help me!ever since I bought my blackberry the edge has not been a capital letter EDGE.the phone seems to be use blackberry wap and I want to change it to blackberry internet.pls help me

Normally by knowing which sites you are visiting. If in doubt, post a picture on one of the BlackBerry forums (Like this one) asking people if they think it is genuine.

I have replaced the housing on a few 8520s and I have always had the one piece for the front housing.

You could also try posting a picture of the housing. As always, if in doubt, then do not buy it. Check reputations or comments from other buyers. If you can limit yourself to Official OEM suppliers. How can we advise you of a fake if you have not even shown it to us?

Places like cnn.cn sell O.E.M. parts and they're the same as some fake ones. The only way to tell is the fit of the parts. If there are gaps anywhere or seams are inconsistent it's a cheap knockoff. There is little/no difference as long as the housing fits properly.
