Default 8320 H@H Problems...it does work but..

Please Login to Remove!

OK, I switched to T-mobile yesterday, got the 8320 and I am loving it, subscribed to the H@H service and it works great, but they advertise "seamless handoff of voice or data calls between cellular and Wi-Fi networks"..this is not what I am experiencing. As soon as I leave the WiFi range it just drops the call, then EDGE and GSM coverage show...4 bars.
Yes, I have it setup automatic, etc..great GSM reception in the area.
Anyone experiencing this issue? I tried with another H@H (nokia) phone...same issues..any ideas?

are you in california?

Quote:
Please note: Customers using a Blackberry 8320 (Curve), are on a call and attempting to transition from Wi-Fi or to Wi-Fi, and are in all geographic areas in the state of California with the exceptions of the Greater Los Angeles basin, Inland Empire, and San Diego county will be unable to hand-in or hand-out to Wi-Fi networks. This results in the following scenarios for customers in California when moving between Wi-Fi and GSM:
If you're on a call on GSM, you'll stay on GSM until you end the call.
If you are on a call on GSM and move into an area with no GSM, the call will drop.
If you're on a call on Wi-Fi and you move out of range of the WI-Fi network, the call will drop.
This is expected to be fixed on October 22.

I've noticed the same when transitioning from UMA to EDGE/GSM... it drops the call.

I don't subscribe to H@H and I'm using my personal Linksys WRT54g router.

PS: I haven't tried... EDGE/GSM to UMA hand offs... so I don't know if they work.

A reset to the router, re-configured security and reboot did the trick...it is working perfectly now

any changes to security that helped make it work? I can't even get my calls to initiate via UMA right now at home. Going to try a hotspot by work at lunch to see if that works for me
