So getting a beta 5.0 for the Bold is better than a 4.6.1 for the Javelin?

I tried 5.0.0.190, the browser and sms were very cool but GroupWise Messenger and BB App Store won't install. Viigo works but you can't scroll down in an article unless you select page mode, gps would not find any sats and bluetooth was not working with ms-sync in my car.

Chief, I based my recommendation on my experience with .190...

Issues with charging? I've never had any other issue other than (1) Facebook not working, (2) pressing F from the home screen won't bring up Profiles and (3) the Display name in SMS Text is a 50-50...

Sorry to threadjack here though.

Chief? Right....

I would prefer to stick with a OS that works with the applications I rely on for business, like Office Communicator. When RIM refreshes it for OS 5, then maybe.

Roger that. For now though, I want nothing else but the hybrid from Sith.

I thought the charging issue was odd also. After I installed .190, it would not charge in my RIM dock charger. I thought it was a charging hardware issue. Then I saw another comment (I believe on a Crackberry forum). Well, when I downgraded to .250, all is well ...

Default 4.6.1.291 Javenlin 8900 OS

I have searched high and low for this. I have NEVER had a problem finding betas before. Has anyone here been successful in acquiring this? Just asking for confirmation. No need to post link. :o)
