Default Best bluetooth hands-free ear piece?

Please Login to Remove!

Just got the 7100T and am anxious to take advantage of the bluetooth. (Never liked the option for non-bluetooth phones).

So what are the top picks for bluetooth headsets?

I'm reusing my old Jabra BT200 Same as 250 earpiece....

But the Motorola HS810 is pretty much the bomb - it sounds great. We sell a ton of them for all kinds of BT phones http://store.bizshopr.com/moths810.html

The Nokia HS-4W is coming soon so that may de-throne the 810.

It's a good time for Bluetooth™

Just picked up the Moto HS810 - and it rocks!! I love this little thing. So small, yet so clear. Thanks for the tip.

Hey, I was wondering if you knew anything about the Moto HS820. I bought one for my 7100 but can't seem to get it to work.

I can't get it to work with my wifes Sony Ericson either, is it just broken, or is this cheaper cause it only works on Moto phones?

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

KG the 820 is the little brother to the 810 and should work no problem with any BT phone.

Are you going into Settings | Bluetooth | Add-Device

That makes the 7100 look for the headset. You also need to have the headset in "discoverable" mode. Once the pairing begins you need to enter the Headset password, 0000 on the HS820 I think... double check your 820 docs.

That should be about it

Thanks,
I figured it out last night. I was holding down the headset power buttton long enough to get three blue bips. But not long enough to keep the light on all the time.

I have used the HS810 for 6 months and it is great. My 810 died last week and I called MOTO. They said that they were sorry and they shipped me one out the same day. They then told me to mail the old one back.

Good product and good customer service!

My HS810 has been working great.

Has anyone tried it AND the 820? What are the differences in the 820, besides slightly different design and extra talk/standby time? Is the fit / feel any different? Sound quality?

If I have the chance, should I sell my 810 to someone else and go for the 820?

I'm using mine with a SonyEricsson HBH-65, and it's problem-free.

Yeah, I haven't had any problems whatsoever. But since I'm a gadget geek, I can't help but eye those headsets that are newer than my HS810. :D Always looking for a good excuse to upgrade. ;)

Nokia has an ear bud style earpiece that tethers to a BT transceiver. Logitech has a headband style...

The Motorola headsets are both cheaper on Amazon.

I bought the HS810 for $79.99 with free shipping.

HS810 -> http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg.../-/B0002F7I94/

HS820 -> http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg.../-/B0002WRGGW/

Also, the BT250 Jabra is only $49.99 when you buy the Cingular 7290 from Amazon.

Check out the Nextlink headsets ( www.nextlink.to ). I tried out the Bluespoon AX for about a week. It worked quite well, and would be ecellent for someone who wants to use it in quiet environments. In louder places it did seem to pick up some background noise. I know that I used it for about an hour a day for four or five days, but my ear still wasn't quite used to it--it was a little uncomfortable, but I have been assured that there is a break in period for these, and after that your ear gets used to it.
