Default Possible to store a password in a keystroke?

Please Login to Remove!

To log in to the Wi-Fi at work I need to enter an ID and password. The password is an 8 letter string of random characters and numbers that changes monthly.

I have been selecting and pasting the PW from my MemoPad every time I log-on but was wondering if its possible to create a key-store/macro/hotkey (not sure if any of these is right word) to automatically populate the PW.

I tried creating an autotext to fill in the PW when I type in workPW but that does not seem to work.

Any solutions out there?

Thanks

Not a good security procedure to have your password written down and copied for use. Lets hope your security person doesn't read this!

It would be poorly written software that allowed anything but the password to substitute, right? I'll be surprised if you find anything.

And I agree putting the password in memopad isn't too swift. Do you even have a password on the device?

By the way, just curious.... You aren't able to save the wifi profile?

No, I can save the name of the network (SSID) but you get prompted for the password each time.

Interesting. I hadn't thought about it, but I guess that can be forced on the wifi network side of things to require login with each connection each time. I do empathize.

Its especially frustrating as it's hospital wifi that's reserved for pt and family use. They don't want employees using it but if I don't I have no cell service at all.

I did not show you this but a little creative input may help.

The Auto Text feature recognizes when the BlackBerry device user incorrectly spells a word in the Auto Text list, and automatically corrects the spelling. For example, the Auto Text feature will automatically change the spelling of adn to and.

The Auto Complete feature analyzes the word the BlackBerry device user is typing and offers suggestions to select from. For example, if the BlackBerry device user types bla, the Auto Complete feature will suggest words such as black, bland, and so on.

I already tried to use the auto text. That was my poor man's solution but it doesn't work.

Thanks though.
