Well, it's offical folks. Rogers now has MDS services via BWC. If you are a Rogers customer, all you need to do is do a "Register Now" from either Options -> Network, or Host Routing Table (For 3.7.1 software).

This has been tested on a 6710 running the 3.6 Software.

With the 3.6 Software the HTML browser works perfectly. I attempted to run WebMessenger but was unable to get it to work.

With the 4.0.0.100 Beta O/S the HTML browser works AND WebMessenger works flawlessly :D (This is problably due to the fact that I can disable the firewall AND that the OS now has a native TCP/IP stack)

So far word on the street has it that Telus and Bell BBs won't be getting this service right now (but they also said that it wouldn't work on 8MB 6710s). So YMMV

Very cool, finally had the chance to try 4.0.0.100 an get it loaded on my device. Great timing I guess, all my MDS apps really do run flawlessly...

I don't think the firewall has anyhting to do with it... all you have to do is poke the holes (when prompted) and it should continue to connect..

or am I wrong?
