Default New Storm OS (4.7.0.82)

Please Login to Remove!

I heard some phones that will be on sale tomorrow will be sporting the buggy beta-like OS 4.7.0.65. They are trying to do a last minute flash to .82 but i was told that most of the storms available tomorrow will have .65

When will the .82 OS be available for download?

From what I'm hearing on the opposite side, Verizon, Storm's will get updated in the morning before leaving the store. Yes it will take a bit longer, but at least it's updated. Then there will be another update soon after that. I'm not positive about this, but I believe units will be updated to .76 in the morning, with another update soon after.

That update is to fix a security issue and not some of the bugs that are being encountered.

You could always try it. If it doesn't work, .65 is always there to downgrade back to.

I got two 9530's today (11/21/2008) at 8:00 A.M. in Fort Collins, CO. The phones were "updated" at the store prior to the salesman xfering my phone books from my wifes 8320 and my Nokia E71-2.

I am sporting v4.7.0.65(Platform 4.0.0.82)

Seems fine to me other than some intermittent lag with keyboard lateral rotation.

You weren't updated then. .82 is the platform, not the OS version. Your still running .65 which is already the older version. Which is what I'm running also. Still waiting on RIM to drop .82
