I'm Shawn, and I think I need to Join BBA (BlackBerry Anonymous).
I recently started a new job (last monday) this gave me the opportunity to choose a carrier and phone as the previous job I had to give up my work phone and the 8703e, which was fine for the task's of then.
After trying out T-Mobile for a week on my girlfriends BB 8100 pearl, (she's now on a My Touch), I soon left them to go back to Verizon. The service with TM just wasn't there for me. So on the cheap, I then picked up an 8330 Curve which I really love compared to the other BB's I've used in the past. I also upgraded the OS to 4.5.0.138 so I could throw in a 16gig chip and use it as my mp3 player now too.
In two years (IF I can wait that long
when I go to renew my contract I want a BB Storm or whatever like model they have at the time. by then 32 and 64gig micro sd cards will be common and I can throw *all* of my music on it.
What really sold me on the BB? Set aside that I've used a BB for two years now and am used to it. It's the "not so closed minded" model that I really appreciate. I can with the drop of the hat get music from my mac, my g/f's PC or my linux laptop without jumping through hoops. Something that has pained me for YEARS on the ipod. the mac/bb media sync is really sick.
The cam/vid and apps stuff is pretty cool too.
Yea, the iPhone and G1/G2 are pretty sick smart phones. And I'll admit that I wasn't a real fan of the BB but it grew on me over time. I'm very happy with the decision I made.
So you know. Kudos!
