Check what time zone is set to in iCal and system prefs. I had a similar issue some time back with my wifes BB and he Mac Mini, I think turning on time zone support in iCal solved the issue.

I purchased PocketMac to use with Entourage and my 8700

First sync it worked fine. Everything after that was a DISASTER
Contacts would have numbers erased. Numbers in wrong fields.
It was a complete joke.

Odd I administer a site with some 15-20 Mac's connected to Exchange and running M$ Entourage. As much as I dislike Entourage they all use PocketMac with little or no issue.

Angry PocketMac destroyed data, and support was useless

I'm trying to find a successful way to sync Blackberries to the Mac. I've looked into Epicad, and although their product looks promising, it only syncs contacts and calendar, no notes, tasks, nor an application loader. Furthermore, the promise of a stand-alone application not requiring Exchange seems to be "coming soon" for the past couple years. I purchased PocketMac for blackberry and it simply didn't work. It destroyed a large portion of my data in both contacts and calendars. I tried getting support for over 4 months, and they were completely unhelpful, unresponsive, and failed to offer any support to get it working. One day they just issued a refund rather than continue any effort to correct the problem. 6 months later I received an inquiry about the problems I had from a company representative, and provided (once again) my feedback and problems that I had had. They once again failed to respond or address the matter.

Any suggestions on a solution that actually works would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, there's nothing else out there. I've emailed mark/space (the makers of the superb Missing Sync software for PPC - I used it extensively with my Axim) about supporting the blackberry, but they said they have no plans at this time. I recommend emailing them and letting them know you're interested. If enough people email, maybe they'll do it. They're great developers and very responsive. I own both TMS for Palm and PPC. Well worth the money.

[email address]

Interestingly, when I emailed again asking about future support, the support person said "we'll add your request to the blackberry group". Makes me think there may be something going on.

using pocketmac, i have gotten to the point where my mac recognizes my 8700 as a dataport, however i think that the problem is there aren't any AppleScripts available for the phone.

I've been using a Treo600 until very recently when an 8700c followed me home. The challenge I have is moving Addresses and Memos over to the BB. I've iSync'ed everything to my OS10.4.1 Mac. Other than pocketmac, does anyone have a recommendation for moving that mass of info to the BB and not having it become a spaghetti mess?

Microsoft Entourage.

³The worldwide popularity of Mac OS X is driving the creation of many
exciting new products and significant growth in the Apple development

Relations. ³We're thrilled that IAA and RIM have collaborated to better
support mobile Mac users with easy-to-use BlackBerry synchronization.²

³PocketMac for BlackBerry is easy to install and allows users to
synchronize email, contacts, calendar, tasks and notes with popular Mac

for BlackBerry to customers around the world.²

RIM has licensed the complete version of PocketMac for BlackBerry from IAA
and the companies plan ongoing product development collaboration. PocketMac
for BlackBerry synchronizes the email, contacts, calendar, tasks and notes
of Microsoft Entourage, OS X's Address Book and iCal, Now Contact and Now

That's great, Apple, but where is my application loader? PocketMac works fine for me (I use the i-apps) but its biggest limitation is NO APP LOADER!!!! I still have to use the PC in my office if I want to load an app. Fix that and some of the other bugs mentioned, and then we'll be talking...

Here's hoping Apple works some of their magic with RIM--can you say i-tunes on Blackberry?

Hopefully they recompile the new release as a Universal binary. Not that I imagine an app like this would be slowed down in the least by rosetta emulation, it would still be nice.

Question Modem for Macs!?

So if anyone gives me a remote clue to which department I should send an email to, I work for Apple and would be more than happy to abuse my company directory if it got us an Apple script. Unfortunately I'm just a retail employee so i'm not sure where to direct this, but were such a tight knit company lol!! I just recently purchased a 7130e and would LOVE to use my EVDO as a modem for it... Next task... Get Verizon to un restrict bluetooth!!
I'd ask co workers where to send it but yeah we won't go there...

For those having issues getting support from PocketMac, note this on their web site -- they lost their support database (again).... http://www.pocketmac.net/support.htm

SPECIAL BULLETIN: Over the weekend, the support server suffered a hard drive failure. As a result, tickets posted during the last 3 months were lost and unrecoverable in our backup. As you can imagine, we're very sorry for the inconvenience and frustration this has caused. If you entered any tickets before Monday, February 13, 2006, please take a moment and enter the ticket again. We will get back to you right away! We are taking steps to create a permanent solution and expect to have something in place by the end of this week.

And this:

Recently our support system had a setback and lost our user data.

We apologize for this inconvenience.

We are in the middle of replacing the current system, and we may experience some downtime during this process.

We thank you in advance for your patience as we implement this vital changes in order to improve the quality of our service and communications.

Thank you so much for your understanding during this time.

It also tries to delete ALL of my calendar appointments/settings and I have to click 'restore all'.

Anyone know what to?!
Very late for this postings, but here is one solution I have found for the doubling of address book entries. What I found out was that the syncing was mis-mapping addresses. What was previously a home address started showing up as a business address on one sync (on my home Mac). Then when I re-sync'd my BB at work to Outlook, since the addresses were now in a different field on the BB, Outlook saw them as different entries and thus added a new one. I believe this could happen in any multiple computer situation - not just using Outlook on Windows. The problem comes from the setting in PocketMac that still assumes (on its face anyway) that you have to choose which address to sync - either home or work addresses. Buried in PocketMac's help, however, is an instruction that if you have a more recent BB that has multiple address capability you should set the "home vs work" selection to "work" and then it will sync all the addresses properly. NOT intuitive and I would have appreciated knowing that before my addresses doubled!

New user... I'm using PocketMac and Mac Mail. Is there anyway to sync the email? Or should I switch to Entourage?

The BlackBerry doesn't sync email, Mac or PC. Only calendar, contacts, notes and tasks.
