My Blackberry Bold 9700 won’t start. Please I need help!

Ok so I woke up and found my blackberry which I left on during the night was showing the loading bar as if it had turned off. Now before I went to bed it was fully charged. And I did not turn it off at all. Well the issue is, it only loads about tenth of the way. The screen flashes and turns off quickly and then the red light stays on and flashes. It keeps repeating this cycle and it’s already been about 4 hours now.
I took out the battery to restart it and I waited about 10 minutes with the battery out. Once I put it back in its still having the same issue. I am confused on why it’s doing this.
I then tried to connect it to my desktop manager and I remember t-mobile gave me a message yesterday to upgrade. So when I connected the phone it keeps saying disconnected and when I downloaded the new software upgrade it keeps telling me that the device needs to be contacted. Its strange how nothing seems to be working. I am going to go to a local t-mobile store (but I am not sure they can even help me) this has been my second replacement of this phone. The first one I got had a similar issue and so I had it replaced (same phone)
Can anyone help me on what this could be? Also I did not drop any water on the phone and I did download a theme app from blackberry world two days ago and a friend told me that may be an issue but I just need more advice. Please help if anyone has any other tips.

My first thought is the charger is not working or the outlet you are using is not. It seem like a simple dead battery.

another thought that the Theme you are using is corrupt. IT may be useful to try an OS reload using JL_cmdr . Do a search on this forun for instructions.
Dont load the Theme again.

Bad themes cause SO many problems. Either installing a theme for the wrong model, or simply a badly written theme, can cause all kinds of havoc.

it was working perfectly last night but this morning noticed the red light comes on it starts loading for about 10 seconds then it goes off again. I've taken the battery out like 20 times, charged it for close to 2 hours but it's still the same.
I didnt download anything and i'v been using the phone for almost a year.
tnx

unless the battery is defective it may be the charger. Try using the AC charger or changing PC ports. Keep in mind some PC's shut off the USB port when they go to sleep.

I've had the same problem! Except i've never downloaded any themes, and i've had my blackberry for just over a year now and never had any problems with the charger, had problems with the battery draining before but it just fixed itself.
no idea what this is. everything was working fine and i tried to send a text and got a strange error message so thought i could just pop the battery in and out and restart it.
now it doesn't restart, the rebooting bar only get about a third of the way completed and then a white screen flashes and it stops. the red light goes on again and it just keeps trying to reboot, always flashing white and cutting out at around the same bit!
anyone any idea what it could be?! i'm really worried as i rely so much on my blackberry, and i'm a skint university student who can't afford a new phone! helllp!

Not necessarily so. White screen could be a bad theme, a wrong them for your OS, etc. For example, a white screen with JVM 523 is remedied usually by a battery pull and then deleted the bad file.

I do agree that in many cases, the fix is to wipe the device with Jl_cmdr and reload the OS. But you should do some basic troubleshooting first.
