Question PocketMac

Please Login to Remove!

I'm trying over and over to sync 8300 with Mac OS 10.4.9
No luck. I've uninstalled my old PocketMac software and started fresh with the BlackBerry CD that came with the Curve. Nothing.
Anyone have a solution?
Thanks.

After hearing nothing but bad things about syncing BB with mac(and lack of OS,app support at all for changing etc) I decided to go for VMWare Fusion Beta and windows XP on my mac(assuming you have intel mac) and use the BB Desktop software.

Missing Sync seems to be running fine with my Curve and OS X 10.4.9

I had the same problem at first. I uninstalled it again, reinstalled and connected. The thing I did different: DISCONNECTED THE 8300 from the mac when installing/starting up. I hit sync and it worked like a charm! Unplug that puppy and try again! Good luck.

Tried doing that, onyxfilm, but same result. It gets the PIN number right, I press sync, it immediately says "synchronizing data," jumps to between the c and the M in SyncManager and just keeps going round and round, never moving till I finally cancel.

Take 2 worked!
Even though I typed in the password in the "Connect" section, it wouldn't go. So I disabled "Password" on my blackberry and it sync'd perfectly.
Thanks, Onyxfilm!!

I'm thinking of getting that, is it worth the $40?

Default Missing Sync works well

I like Missing Sync a lot. I've used it with other products and so far it works nicely with the Curve. In particular it plays nicely with iTunes. I've created a playlist on iTunes called "Curve" and have told Missing Sync to sync this playlist into my microSD card in the Curve every time the device syncs with my Mac. You can also define a particular iPhoto folder for syncing. It's pretty slick.

Because of this functionality, and the 3.5mm headphone jack, I'm leaving my iPod at home more often. I'm thoroughly enjoying the media player on the Curve.

I too gave up on PocketMac, and picked up the Missing Sync. Way better product IMO... sync'd the first time and everytime for me. It also has folder sync which is great for loading music onto my Pearl (and my new Curve this Friday woot).

Luckily, I purchased a missing sync product years and years ago for my Sony Clie, so I could do a cross upgrade. For $20 its definitely worthit, but $40 would be tough for me.

Default Does missing sync sync with NOW contact and NOW uptodate?

I can't get pocketmac to sync with my 8300 and Now contact. Tried everything. Does any one know if the missing sync will allow / work with my Now Contact?

Thanks in advance,

Question Trouble syncing Mac to Curve

I just bought a Curve (finally got tired of the instability of the Palm) and am trying to sync iCal and Address Book.

I was having a lot of trouble the 1st few rounds of trying to sync but after reading the posts here, I uninstalled PocketMac and re-installed a clean copy. This time, when I plugged in the Curve after the re-boot, my Curve actually recognized that it was connect to the Mac (iMac 20" intel dual core).

I went through the set up etc. and hit "Sync". The progress bar gets to about 1/2 way through and then it just hangs....it says "BlackBerry - Synchronizing Contacts" on the bottom. What seems to be the problem? What is the average length of time to do an initial sync? What am I doing wrong. Should I invest in Missing Sync??

Any help would be appreciated - Thanks!!
