You have to leave the PC on at all times fro unite to work.

I'm thinking about buying my son and my daughter their own pearl. My daughter has been asking me if she can have a phone "with a keyboard" since shortly after she got her first celly. All the peers with Sidekicks...lol. I want the ability to tell my daughter that from time to time, if necessary, I have access to her and my son's sms. I also want the ability to be able to push new and modified calendar entries to my wife and my daughter's blackberrys.
So, basically I'm looking for unite to be a "family hub" with four blackberrys on it and me as its "admin." Can someone fill me in on their experience and how they think it will fare with my intended usage in mind. Thanks!

Harry I think this would be a great solution for you. You will be able to do everything you want. You wont be able to see their SMS but will see the sites they go to and all calls
Pros. it works great for what it does.
Cons
Cant import calendar or address book to it.
Have to mess with options to sync to the PC via usb
Unite takes over calendar, meaning all entries are through unite from that point on unless you select andother email address on the handset. But those wont sync wirelessly.
