I have all the instructions, and all the codes, I just need the software so if you truely have the software.

Contact me and i will give you the codes for the program.

Since what good is the program to me if i don't have the codes? But i have them so this makes a perfect deal.

If some one would provide a FTP i will post the instruction on there if this guy posts the program

Thanks.

OK I just called in to get my Data package upgraded - the "unlimited" voyageur tethering is actually 250mbytes. Although a far cry from Roger's impotent 25mbyte, still something to be aware of, especially if you'll be using it for VPN traffic like myself.

There is the capability to see how much you've used each session but it doesn't look like its a very full featured function.

(here is a screen shot from View -> Connection Log)

Question to those who have upgraded with the PRL.. did it affect your BES connectivity ?

In other words... will thos of us on a BES need to get another account activation password ?

Just got back from the only Bell store capable of doing the PRL update and they said they have the kit but the 'tech' guy hasn't installed it yet. :(

Anyone know if the new PRL addresses any roaming issues in the US?

For example, I cannot use data on my 7250 whenever I'm in the Washington, DC area (device will only roam on Verizon there).

The procedures are now posted... as expected there is no customer do-it-yourself solution. The EVDO activation has to be done by the BW store.

It looks like the list of stores has changed from what was out originally - no stores in Richmond Hill have the update.

At least they didn't reneg on the May 5th date... ;)

I just contacted all the stores in Calgary, all with the same response:

We have the software, but it isn't installed yet. Check back in a week.

Two of them even asked me how I got their number. I was hoping May 5 was going to be a date when we could actually get the upgrade.

Regards,
Jeff Wickenheiser

Thumbs down 1XEV-DO Upgrade

Hi Guys,

I went today to a Bell store at 7357 Woodbine in Markham.
Took them more that 1 hour to flash the 7250 and when the tech came back he told me that after the flash they had an error and to fix the error (on Bell network) I should wait somewhere between 4 to 24 hours.
In the mean time I have no phone and no email to the device.
Same answer received when I called their data call center. I asked them if they had the same problem with other customers and they told me that unfortunately it happens 1 in 100 (so I was the 100 customer).

Be careful with this upgrade even if it is done on a Bell store.

thx.

Default Are there Charges???

I went to a Montreal Downtown Bell World and they were gonna charge me 15$ to do the update. I don't get it!!! Why is it that the site says its free but when I go there they say there is a 15$ service charge????

In any event, I chose not to pay.... Any of you have the same problem elsewhere???

I figure that sooner or later, the propore "tools" will be posted.

I will be calling other stores to see if they have the same 15$ policy.
