I have upgraded my BB 9000 to OS 4.6 167 and also no longer have Options in KeePass. Also backup of the BB fails on the device database 'KeePassBB Options' with the error 'Error backing up database(s)'. I have tried deleting KeePass, rebooting and re-installing to no effect.

Is there a way to delete the 'KeePassBB Options' database so that I can at least get the backup to work?

Thanks.

If you delete the app you still get the error?

I should have the new beta out by Monday morning but in the mean time, you should be able to invoke the advanced backup and clear the database.

Yes, I have deleted the app, rebooted and re-installed. I have tried to clear the database in the advanced database but I still get the error. I can backup if I select all databases in advanced backup excluding the KeePassBB databases.

I have the EXACT same problems as you.. After changing devices or upgrading OS - Can't access the KeePass options and can't backup the device. The only way I was able to clear everything up was by wiping the handheld....

Installed the latest version, (1.2.948). Did the ability to load a database from a URL get removed? I had that in my previous version, but not sure what the version number was.

It did get removed because I didn't know anyone was using it. You can load it from http by pressing <ALT>HTTP from the main KeePassBB Screen.

Thanks, and sorry, I just saw where you wanted to close this thread, but having a problem. The ALT code got me to the field, but when I enter the URL, I get the following error.

Uncaught Exception: Net.rim.device.api.io.FileNotFoundException:
Unable to find file .....................kbd

The dots being the URL I'm trying to access, complete with http etc

The file is accessible via web browser.

Default Can't open my Keepass database file in BB 8820

Hi
First, thanks for creating this program for BB. I use Keepass on my Linux system, Pocket PC, USB key, for nearly everything!

I installed Keepass on my BB 8820 first using the desktop manager. It installed properly, but I am not able to open my password file (the Keepass database) located on my miniSD card. When I migrate to the database file, and try to open it, KeePass displays an "!" exclamation mark and can't open it.

I tried reinstalling the application using OTA but I'm having the same problem.

What is going on? Thanks!

RemyJ,
Curious if you found there was a problem in the program using the HTTP load I posted about on 11/3, or maybe it's just something on my end.

No, it looks like a bug. I't on my list.

No other error message? Is the device still plugged into the USB port when you try?

Yes, its very strange. This is what has been happening:
I start Keepass, and a box pops up "Open Database".
I then migrate to my encrypted password file "2008 Passwords.kdb" stored on my microSD card. When I select it, the only message that appears is "!".
The first time it happened, it began the import process then stopped and displayed a message saying "Uncaught exception: invalid text". But I use this password file every day and it works fine. The BB 8820 is not plugged into USB when this happens.

What is going on? I'd really like to be able to use Keepass.

Equipment:
My BB OS is 4.2.2.184 Platform 2.5.0.40 East Asian version.

I use only Sidux Linux and don't have windows installed. I run windows as a virtual machine, but Blackberry Desktop manager won't recognize my device when I connect it with a USB cable.

I think the problem is that the file name has spaces in it. Someone else reported this as well and I'm working on it.

If you can, try renaming the file without the space and see if that helps.

Remy -thanks for the great product. My 8310 BB 4.2 was recently reset wirelessly restored by work. Now when I try and open Keepass 1.1.641 it loads but no data base. So I try to open persistant store and get Persistent database not signed with the proper key.
How can I harvest save the database that was on my BB! Keepass was my #1 BB app (after email).
My desktop database that I used to set up the BB is 6 months out of date.
Thanks

I am in the same boat as bnbowes, except that I have had a hard drive failure. I need to harvest the data from the BB persistent store in order to rebuild my desktop kbd file. Thanks in advance...

The next release will have an icon for bold plus a bunch of fixes. I'm just wrapping up my move so I'm thinking the end of next week.

Default Is anyone looking at porting this to the BB Storm?

This is probably a dead thread, but I thought I would give it a shot.

I tried installing it on my Storm, and it appears not to support the Storm's touchscreen properly. It also wouldn't sync with my Keepass desktop app (authentication failed after entering the master password for the database when I tried using the plugin for the Desktop Manager).

Thanks in advance,
Jeff
