Default Lost phone question

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I lost my phone near Niagara falls 2 weeks ago. I was wondering if there was a way if someone found my phone and still was left on. Will gps be able to track it down even if person didn't make a call, but still active until battery run out? probably left in the lost and found location. Stupid me for losing this phone, i knew I should of had bought the iphone instead.

Ditto. Not with stock system.

FYI to all, use the password lock and put your contact information on the owner screen in options.

Put your mailing address and a phone number different from your mobile. Use an office phone, spouse's or good friend's number, etc.

There are two packages that you can install on the BB Smartguard and Roboock that can be used to wipe a lost or stolen device. Doesn't help the OP nor does it help after the act has occurred -- but an ounce of prevention ............

Here is a thread on Robolock. Use the SEARCH to find more.

What they said works, but one question?

How would getting an iphone have kept you from losing it?

There is an application called "Find My iPhone" which wouldn't matter in this case because

1) The battery in the iphone would long be dead
2) You have to enable it and have a MobileMe account and that would have been too much work
3) See #1 and #2
