Default 8520 freezes with full battery

Has anyone seen this problem? When the battery is above two blobs, the screen and keyboard freezes, and the only way to get working again is a reboot. If two blobs or below, all is OK. Happens with two different batteries and different chargers so I guess must be a phone problem.

Have you dropped the device or has it gotten wet?

Never got wet. Now you mention it I remember dropping it on the floor some time before it started failing - would this be enough to cause this?

Could have damaged something internally.

This could also be due to having too many applications on at once. Keep hold of the Blackberry button to see how many apps you have open and then manually close them by pressing the blackberry button again!

Well, there was nothing wrong with the Blackberry. When I removed the SIM card and the MicroSD card to send it off for repair, I noticed it was working OK. Turned out to be the MicroSD card - an 8Gb Patriot Class 4. Fails with it in, works with it out. While awaiting a new one I reformatted it, and now it seems to work again.

MicroSD cards with problems can cause weird things to happen. Your issue shows how weird. Fingers crossed that this is for sure the answer.
