Default .351 OS upgrade issue

Please Login to Remove!

so I'm trying to load the new 8310 OS and I'm having some trouble. I upgraded to 4.3 BB desktop and when I follow the instructions (install OS, delete Vendor file, plug BB, Open BB desktop) I don't get the auto pop-up asking me to update my OS.

Is there a manual way to load the new OS instead of relying on a auto-pop?

I also read how some people have issues with the 4.3 BB desktop, could i be one of them? If so, that sucks because it was a waste of an hour to download the file and install it (it took forever) and now I probably have to waste another 1-2 hours uninstalling it and re-downloading/install 4.2

what the....

Yep, I followed the instructions above - no prompt... and i tried using apploader, which from what i can tell, is only for adding/removing apps, not OS

You should have no problem, then. I would reboot the BB, close DM on the PC and restart, or even reboot the PC and start DM again, connect the BB, etc.

If all else fails, uninstall DM4.3 and install 4.2, Service Pack 2. Many times 4.3 is buggy.

You probably have the latest OS already. When you used the App Loader, did you see "upgrade" under the Action column on the loader screen?

Unfortunately, im having the same issue.. no prompt to upgrade OS, i've installed the OS again after install 4.2sp2, restarted my pc, power cycle/battery pull my bb, NO LUCK... what gives? I'm running Vista Home Premium (if that matters)

Ok so I am having the same exact problem. Downloaded the latest desktop software, rebooted computer, downloaded the lastest handheld software from Tmobile (my carrier) version "T-Mobile_BlackBerry_8120_v4.3.0.115" this is the lastest available from them as of today.

Started the desktop software, plugged in my 8120, went to application loader, and NO prompt for UPDATE at all. Nothing shows in the loader except what is already on my phone, nothing comes up with I click on the update applications instead of add/remove applications. NOTHING

How can I manually push this os onto my phone?

TIA
Nichol

When you open Apploader, next to the OS system files, does it say "Nothing" or "upgrade"? Sometimes it will looks like nothing is going to happen but you click next and it will update the system files.

Ok so I clicked "browse" and finally found the following files in the program files/common files/research in motion/shared/loader files/8120-v4.3.0.115_P2.6.0.64 directory:
aim.alx
BISThickClient.alx
BlackBerry.alx
Browser.alx
DocViewer.alx
google.alx
help.alx
LBS.alx
MDSRuntime.alx
MemoPad-java.alx
msn.alx
net_rim_bb_medialoader_video.alx
PasswordKeeper.alx
Phone.alx
Platform.alx
RootCertificates.alx
Tasks-java.alx
Yahoo.alx

added them all to the application loader and clicked "next"

They all seemed to be added with either "install or update" next to the application.

I click next and get this error message:

The appplication "BlackBerry 4.3 Core Applications" cannot be loaded, because it requires the following applications that are not available:

net.rim.platform.ecmascript
