Default GPS product question

Please Login to Remove!

I have been in the market for a bluetooth puck for my 8320. I was looking at a particular product that sounds like it is exactly what I am looking for, but I am not quite sure that it will do everything that I want.

The link is here.

Could I not only use this as a logger/geo-tagger but as a GPS receiver to use with navigation programs such as google maps or telenav?

Let me know what you all think.

Freedom Keychain 2000 puck. Review is in the review section. Small, connects in about a minute and battery last about 8 hours in operation. You could do a lot worse.

Thanks for the info, but I am really only interested in opinions or knowledge about the product I mentioned in my first post.

I had that page load a minute ago, but can't get there any more.

I don't believe it was a Bluetooth GPS receiver able to feed real-time position data to the BB - it looks like it was built to record GPS data onto camera memory cards - but if you can get at that page, you should be able to confirm that one way or another.

Assuming that not all the sailors in San Diego are sharing this account, and recognizing that you are probably attracted by a combination of a low price and the waterproof attribute, don't dismiss the ability of a ZipLoc bag to add that attribute to other very appropriate devices.
