I'd be amazed if Guess supported a chat area... No matter how much ya'll begged for it.

It's a wise business move to keep chat away from BBF.

I don't envision the chat as a place to ask questions... It would be linked in the Off Topic area and just a place to shoot the real time breeze....

Not true. There have been several things implemented without any sort of thought of monetary compensation.

For example: BlackBerryFAQ has been around and costs significantly more to upkeep then it could ever make in advertising, because of the limitations of the wiki, it was just implemented to have a unique resource for the users. You also need to remember this site was started by a user for users, it wasn't started like other forums by companys trying to create a profit from every angle (and the abundance of ads at those sites makes that rather obvious)

Chat wont be implemented, its been discussed countless times, it just does not make any sense, and can not be moderated.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on that one. There could easily be a BBF store here that would line the streets with bricks of gold (yea, right), but there isn't. There are things that are NOT implemented simply because they are not the right thing to do for this forum.

Whatever the reason may be... I'm glad Chat will not be implemented.
In my opinion, it would turn into a breeding ground for immaturity and lessen the credibility of the site as a whole.
