Default Reset BES statistics

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

is it possible to reset the BES statistics by BAS or by a script?
I'm talking about to reset the complete messaging data for all servers in the whole BlackBerry domain.
Is there a way to do this?

thx
Marcus

If you select "Manage multiple users", then select all users and click

"Clear statistics for selected users"

Does somebody have another idea?
I've to clean statistics for about 3000 users over 6 BES. So i've to do a few clicks to clean.
So cleaning with a single click would be fine

Do you have SP3 installed, there you can set the Fetch size to 1000 which would reduce the number of clicks a bit. Apart from that, you would probably have to write some SQL statement to manipulate the DB directly.

No SP3 now, because our carrier hasn't released it for us, now.
I know, it's rediculous, i can't change it.

BTW is there a similar way clear the BES stats with the GUI? (Table "Serverstats")

Are you talking about the SQL Server Management GUI?

No, sorry for this, I'm talking about the BAS GUI.
With SQL I would do an UPDATE on this table, but I would prefer the "official" way

Just found something. If you go to "Manage multiple users", below the list there is an option called

"Select all results on all pages"

If you use that, you can reset the stats all in one go.

is it a problem to clear the ServerStats table with

DELETE from dbo.ServerStats

or should i UPDATE every entry with something like

UPDATE dbo.ServerStats set MsgsForwarded=0,MsgsSent=0,MsgsPending=0,MsgsExpir ed=0,MsgsFiltered=0,MsgsFailed=0

Or is there generally a problem with modifiing the content of this table

What's your opinion?
