• Launch your Internet Browser
• Go to www.blackberry.com/yahoodownload
• Select “Download”
• Accept Terms and Conditions
• Select “Download Yahoo! Messenger for BlackBerry”
• Select “Download”

I got this to work on my 7100r...had to install software while 7100 is connected to my PC.

Thanks for the info DocGo! But, Yahoo! Messenger is not supported for Cingular and the 8700c via DocGo's information.

Projectorkid, I guess you can always download and try it out on your unlocked phone. If it doesn't work, you can always uninstall it.

Why exactly is this? Just unsure as to why the messenger wasn't made available for all carriers? Wouldn't cingular be happy to charge me crazy $$ for all my messages?

Default Do you mean IM or the web portal?

IM+ and Webmessenger both support the IM I think, but I don't think Yahoo supports the web portal other than WAP.

I see that Sprint devices are now now supported. As well as "3" Hong Kong.
