- Is it possible to change the All, Favourites, Downloads sections on the main screen? I have no use for Downloads or Frequent, and wouldn't mind having a Messages container instead.
- is it possible to make the Berry button Open Tray by default, instead of popping up the menu to select Open Tray from there?
To open the tray from the homescreen just scroll down on the trackpad I found this out by accident the other day.

Just hit the escape key on the home screen to open the tray. I hate the tray...prefer OS5 in that regard.

Am starting to see odd behavior around SMS and UMA. Many times over the past 2 days I have had to "recycle" the connections to get an SMS message sent out.

A couple times it had "lost" any mobile network connection (I get 3G usually inside) and needed to refresh the connection.

Others it seemed to have lost my LAN (and ultimately, UMA) connection even though it showed as connected.

Anyone else having this?

Have done battery pull each day over past 3 days.

Working great!

Just one thing: how can I decrease the size of the font within the box on top of the home screen? The one that's showing your carrier, Wifi etc. - I suppose it isn't possible at all?

Dropped back to: 9700.6.0.0.358

The UMA/LAN/Wireless issues were really becoming annoying. It got to the point I had to drop/reconnect connections anytime I sent an SMS.

Funny thing, when dialing from the home screen, the buttons for 1 and 7 are swapped around - yet, it's working fine if I hit the "Accept call" button first (and am in the call list).

Hello Guys!

Can't get it to run on my 9700!

at the end of the OS installation I get the following msg:

The following modules could not be loaded because their digital signatures were invalid. net_rim_bb_qm_peer_lib.cod

Then then when the device reboots the progress gets stuck at the very end for a long while and then I get a white screen with "App 200 error" msg!

any thoughts!?

Appreciate it and Merry Xmas everyone

This has been an issue since the first betas of OS6. However, it has happened to me even when never going on to UMA. The only solution was to turn off the antenna and turn it back on. As soon as I did they went right through.

However, on a similar note, I have noticed in the last few builds issues with Google Talk (gchat) just dropping its connection with no way of knowing it is really offline. I miss IMs, IMs I send that APPEAR to go through never did, and it can stay disconnected (but saying it is) for hours like this with no way of knowing. It's gotten to where I have to go in to Google Talk every hour or so and sign out and back in just to make sure I am still really connected. I use Google Talk in place of SMS with a LOT of people so it's extremely annoying to not be getting messages, or sending messages that I later find out never actually did.

Anyone else noticed this? I don't know if it's the latest build of Google Talk even though I never saw this prior to OS6, OS6 not playing well, or maybe even a dropout when I go from UMA to regular tower signal. I HAVE noticed it happen when I have been in and out of UMA coverage, but have actually had it happen even when I don't, stay inside in UMA for a while, and also when I may have just been in and out of spotty coverage areas. Basically it appears to happen anywhere, but is more pronounced after leaving UMA.

Yes, I saw similar glitches. Most times I noticed when in UMA only because I spent more time inside then out. However, many times I would be driving and noticed either a text sent (supposedly) earlier had not actually gone after 30 minutes. I would then reset connections (hey, at least it's easier to do in OS6...) and things would be back to normal for a while. For me, it seemed to happen way more often then previous OS6 betas.

I have since downgraded to 2 builds prior (.352 I think) and have had none of the connection issues for 3 days now. No reset, no battery pull...

Just loaded this on my phone after a clean wipe with BBSAK.

This is the first version of v6.0 that plays the opening video, for me, without a glitch. All other versions seems to play very choppy.

I run flixster, facebook, google talk, google maps, google voice, citrix receiver, and scoremobile for blackberry and I have 53.2MB if free space.

BES Activation took about 15 minutes and this OS is flying compared to .380.

I have sent quite a few pictures via BBM and MMS and it doesn't seem to slow down like previous builds.

Overall this is a good step forward.

I'm not really impressed after using it for a while. It feels like it's not designed for the 9700. I went from 100mb free to 50 after a battery pull, and it drops quickly from there. Major memory leak issues here. It's also terrible at estimating my battery life. It's at it's worst while listening to Pandora. 50% to 8% is common within a time frame of a few minutes. The home screen is a whole other issue. The screen is just too small for the layout and there aren't enough custimization options :/

Sorry, I meant "close" the tray...that's what the escape key does at the home screen(s).

A quick "swipe" down the trackpad will open it, or the menu button has an "open tray" option that will do it as well. The Escape key will always close it.
