I do not want to use BBM and have not used in the past but all of a sudden I am getting requests. How do I stop it?

Somehow you posted your PIN or if this is a used device, someone has the PIN from the previous owner.

Just ignore it.

BBM is one of the core apps and is part of the operating system. There is no "turning it off." probably best to ask whoever is sending those requests to stop, explaining who you are so if they are trying to reach the previous owner they will move on.
