Default RIM.com just released info on the 7290

$149 with a two year contract.

We don't have cingular service in Colorado but I understand that Cingular doesn't lock their units. I have ATT which soon will be one with Cingular.

Does anyone know usually how long it take other carriers like ATT to start offering the 7290?

Usually Cingular doesn't lock handsets, you're right.

I don't know what their policy on BigDevices such as Treo's and bberry's is.

I do know that I think I'll really prefer a 7290 to a 7230 or 7100t.

I'm using a 7230 now and will get a 7100t this week.

Knowing me, I'll end up getting a 7290 as soon as I can. Meanwhile, T-Mobile is selling "Blackberry Jr's" at record pace. It's getting hard to get GPRS up here in Providence, RI with all the kids on their SideKicks!

Default 7290

Cingular has service in my area. Does this mean that I can count on the 7290 being available in my area, or is the release limited in geographic area? Does anyone know of a Cingular rep I can call to sign up? I've been waiting and salivating way too long.

I don't deal directly with cingular, I have them at my disposal to sell. However not with data solutions. If Cingular does their data products as they do their phones, it should be a company wide roll-out.

Drat!

I called the toll free nationwide Cingular number, and the rep had no clue. He checked with three supervisors and neither knew anything about the 7290.

What does Cingular charge monthly for a BlackBerry plan compared to Sprint & T-Mobile at under $20 per month?

Where did you get these figures from for T-Mobile/Sprint? I am interested in getting the Sprint BlackBerry, but as far as I know it has not been released yet.

At HF, I've read that Sprint's unlimited Vision costs only $16 per month, while T-Mobile Is $20. But I'm probably mistaken that's what their BlackBerry monthly plan costs. Sorry...I'm a newbie

Sprint has not released its BB yet (think November) and I would be VERY surprised if it was covered under the $15 buck unlimited vision plan. T-Mobile charges $29.95 for BB with a voice plan, $39.95 without.

Default Cingular Data Plan

With a Voice plan (39.95 +), unlimited is 44.95, there is a smaller plan, but I did not check it out.

I just got my 7290 today!!
